We are emigrants - emigrants from Germany ...

We've always dreamed of this - someday to emigrate to Italy, Liguria! Later, when we retire, when our house is paid off, when the kids are grown up ...
"Someday," though, was just a very vague idea that became a real plan when we started to think, "Why not now? What's stopping us?" And so we decided on Christmas 2021 "Now is the time"! Retirement is still a long way to go, our old house became replaceable and the children are old enough! A friend and business partner who lives here in South Africa said to us then "Come to Cape Town! Here you will have Liguria - just much nicer!" So we came to Hout Bay and ... fell in love!
After 2 days only, it was obvious where our journey would go - South Africa, Cape Town, Hout Bay!
We left our old life in Bavaria and started a new adventure here only 6 months later! This restart has been a reward with happiness since our arrival! Every plan, every wish was fulfilled, every individual contact was a warm and open experience, and every day we were overcome with awe and joy that we could have never imagined before! In fact, it is exactly what we get from the people and the country every day ...
